Requesting Materials (ILL)

Books, periodicals, and videos in the MBLC Professional Library are available for loan to the library community in a convenient manner. Requests to borrow library material may be made in several ways.

  • As the MBLC Library is a member of the NOBLE Library network, requests can be sent through the Virtual Catalog.

  • Loan requests can be sent by email to Brian.Donoghue@state.ma.us or to Maureen.Killoran@state.ma.us

  • Requests may be made by telephone by contacting Brian Donoghue, Reference Librarian at: 1-800-952-7403 ext:240 (in-state) or 617-267-9400 ext:240

Our loan period is generally for one month. We are happy to extend this loan period unless we have a reserve list for a particular book.

Library materials are usually sent to requestors through the Regional delivery service. We do mail books through the U.S. Postal Service for borrowers who do not have convenient access to their local library.

Requestors may place a reserve on a book which is currently on loan from the Library. Please email or telephone Brian Donoghue to reserve a book. The book will be sent to the requestor as soon as possible.
