2008 Statewide Summer Reading Program

Wild Reads 2008 Summer Reading Toolkit

Summer Reading is here and to help you promote your library’s Wild Reads summer reading program, the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners (MBLC) has collaborated with the Regional Youth Consultants and Buyer Advertising to develop a summer reading toolkit. In it you will find the media plan which explains how the MBLC is promoting summer reading this year, various banner ads, a teacher flyer and a sample press release which you may customize with your library’s information.

In addition to the promotion mentioned in the toolkit, the statewide website Mass.gov/libraries is highlighting Massachusetts Libraries’ summer reading programs.  During the week of June 2, 2008 and June 9, 2008 the television advertisement, which directs people to the website, is airing.
