The American Library Association recently released the results of the 2006 ALA-APA survey of salaries for full-time professionals in academic and public libraries. This survey collected data about library positions that require an MLS and those that do not.
The questionnaire was mailed to a sample of 3,418 public and academic libraries. Usable responses were received from 2,058 libraries, 47 percent of those sampled.
