Authentication

Efforts are currently underway to improve Massachusetts residents' access to electronic resources. The Authentication Task Force, consisting of ten representatives from regions, networks, school, academic and public libraries, met between December 2005 and September 2007 to identify the issues and to make initial recommendations.

A needs assessment process, completed by the Rendon Group, was presented to the Board of Library Commissioners at their January 2007 meeting.

The final draft recommendations were presented to the Board at their December 2007 meeting.
