Following is a list of municipalities that did not apply or were ineligible to apply for FY2008 State Aid to Public Libraries and are therefore not certified as of January 3, 2008.

  4. Hawley - ineligible - no library

  7. New Ashford - ineligible - no library
  8. Northbridge - did not apply - last applied FY2007
  9. Phillipston - did not apply - last applied FY2007
  10. Randolph - ineligible - did not meet minimum hours standard during FY2007*
  11. Saugus - did not apply - last applied FY2007
  12. Savoy - did not apply - has never applied
  13. Tyringham - did not apply - last applied 1961
  14. Washington - ineligible - no library

* At their March 6, 2008 meeting, the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners voted approval of the following motion:

“The Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, under the provisions of Senate No. 2396, signed into law by the governor on March 5, 2008, certifies that Randolph has met minimum standards of free public library service and awards a FY2008 Library Incentive Grant, a FY2008 Municipal Equalization Grant and a FY2008 Nonresident Circulation offset in the indicated amounts, totaling $41,803.98, and authorizes any additional FY2008 State Aid to Public Libraries disbursements that may be possible toward the end of the grant cycle.”
