Governor Patrick’s FY2009 Budget Recommendations

Governor Patrick and Lt. Governor Murray released their FY2009 state budget recommendations to the Massachusetts House and Senate today at the State House. The Massachusetts House of Representatives and Senate will each develop their own version of the FY2009 state budget. The Massachusetts House will release their budget in late April or early May. The Massachusetts Senate will release their budget in May or early June. Then a joint House and Senate conference committee will be appointed in June to resolve the differences in the budgets. The FY2009 state budget goes back to the Governor who has the authority to line item veto.

The Governor/Lt. Governor recommended the following for the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners for FY2009:
