Email Distribution Lists 

E-mail distrubution lists hosted on the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners Web site facilitate communications among the six Massachusetts regional library systems. The Board Web site also hosts other mailing lists that pertain to the delivery of library services throughout the Commonwealth, such as MASSYAC (the Massachusetts Youth and Children list) and the Public Library Construction discussion list.

Scope

Regional Lists

The regional mailing list have been set up to provide a communications forum for members of Massachusetts regional library systems. Library staff from all Massachusetts libraries (including non-members) are encouraged to exchange ideas, post questions or vacancies, announce surplus items for sale, or use the mailing lists for other library-related purposes. Messages dealing with issues specific to one region should not be cross-posted to the mailing lists of the other regional library systems. Commercial announcements and advertisements are not permitted.

MASSYAC (Massachusetts Youth and Children

MASSYAC is an unmoderated discussion group for staff providing Young Adult and Children's Services in libraries in the Commonwealth of Masschusetts.
